The process to get admission in pilot training is organized in a couple of steps and one is to follow them carefully and with diligence to ensure all means to get a valid admission. You must first qualify according to the basic pilot eligibility requirements where you must have: Completed a minimum of 10th or 12th grade depending in the type of license you are pursuing, the Student Pilot License (SPL) Private Pilot License (PPL) Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). You also must pass the mandatory medical check additionally Class2 medical is required to perform as SPL and PPL and Class1 medical is required as CPL and ATPL. As an added requirement, to acquire CPL or ATPL you should have passed 12th grade in Physics Chemistry and Math (PCM) or its equivalent diploma. When your eligibility is ratified you can then make an application to recognized flying schools or academies who are accepted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Having chosen a flying school you will have to complete the admission form and provide all the needed educational identification and passport-related documents along with all the medical ones. Other institutes can also make you appear in an entrance examination or personal interview to determine your mental capabilities basic knowledge of aviation etc. Once successfully verified and selected you will be admitted to your desired pilot course and start both theoretical and practical training, which you will begin to take.
