Private Helicopter Pilot License

Private Helicopter Pilot License (PHPL) is pilot license in a helicopter. Candidates who have PHPL are able to fly a helicopter which is not used for commercial purposes. Private Helicopter Pilot License (PHPL) is an approx 3-6 months program in which ground class and flying training is included. To get a Private Helicopter Pilot License (PHPL) candidate firstly completes their medical test and after that there is a ground class of approx 2-3 months where students get knowledge about air navigation, air regulation, etc. After the completion of ground class of certain months and then approx 40 hours of flying training on helicopter in which approx 10 hrs of solo training is compulsory.

Private Helicopter Pilot License Eligibility

If a candidate wants to become a private Helicopter pilot than they have to fulfill the eligibility criteria:-

• The age of the candidate is not less than 17 at the time of admission.
• Candidates must clear their 10th standard with any recognized board.
• A candidate is required to pass the class 2 medical test to become eligible for PHPL.

Private Helicopter Pilot License Course Duration

Private Helicopter Pilot License (PHPL) is approximately 3-6 months of license program in which the ground class and flying training are included. The total duration for PHPL ground classes is approx 2-3 months where students gain knowledge all about helicopters and at that time they complete their modules. In the ground class time students get training through a simulator (If available on campus). After that students undergo through live flying training of approx 40- 50 hours on helicopter and then a candidate gains Private Helicopter Pilot License (PHPL).
