The Pilot Common Entrance Test (Pilot CET) is strictly an online written examination focused on assessing candidates knowledge in subjects such as Physics Mathematics and English typically aligned with the 12th grade curriculum. This exam is designed to determine eligibility and merit for admission into pilot training programs as well as to allocate scholarships not to evaluate actual flying ability.
As per the official details:
The Pilot CET consists of 90 multiple choice questions, to be completed within 1 hour 30 minutes.
It is conducted fully online with both Hindi and English language options available.
There is no practical flying component in the exam itself it purely tests academic and theoretical aptitude.
the entrance exam does not include any practical flying or simulator tests. Those intensive hands on segments are part of subsequent pilot training courses at DGCA approved flying schools which students attend only after admission based on Pilot CET results and counseling. Training phases that involve actual flying simulators, and aerobatic maneuvers occur later in the pilot licensing process not within the entrance exam
