Yes it is possible to pursue a career as a pilot after completing your 12th grade though certain educational requirements must be met subsequently. While you can't immediately begin pilot training after 12th grade this period can be used to lay the groundwork for your aviation career.

Educational Pathway

After finishing 10th the next step is to enroll in the Science stream for your 11th and 12th grades selecting Physics and Mathematics as your core subjects. This combination is essential for eligibility in pilot training programs in India. If you have already completed your 12th grade with subjects other than Physics and Mathematics, some institutions offer bridge courses through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or equivalent platforms to meet the necessary prerequisites.

Pilot Training Licenses

The journey to becoming a pilot involves obtaining various licenses each with specific requirements:

Student Pilot License (SPL):
- Eligibility: Minimum age of 16 years.
- Educational Requirement: Completion of 10th grade.
- Purpose: Allows you to begin flight training under supervision.
Private Pilot License (PPL):
- Eligibility: Minimum age of 17 years.
- Educational Requirement: Completion of 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics.
- Purpose: Permits you to fly aircraft for personal use.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL):
