To become a commercial pilot in India you need to fulfill a few basic requirements set by DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). The minimum age requirement is 18 years for obtaining a Commercial Pilot License. Student must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board. If you did not study these subjects you can clear them later through NIOS.
You must hold a Class 1 Medical Certificate from a DGCA approved doctor to ensure you are physically and mentally fit for flying duties. Good vision (correctable with glasses) normal hearing and overall health are important in this field.
Proficiency in English communication is also necessary since all aviation communication is in English. For getting the license students need at least 200 hours of flying experience which you will gain during training at a DGCA approved flying school.
