Basic Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria to become a pilot after graduation or 12th standard is straightforward. You should have studied Physics and Mathematics in your 10+2 or an equivalent course. If you are a graduate without these subjects you can clear them later through open schooling to meet the CPL eligibility criteria.

Age and Medical Requirements

  • Age: Minimum age is 17 years to apply for a Student Pilot Licence and 18 years for a Commercial Pilot License eligibility.

  • Medical Fitness: A DGCA approved Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory. This ensures you are fit for flying and meet all commercial pilot eligibility requirements.

Flight Training and Exams

Once you fulfill the eligibility for commercial pilot license you can enroll in a DGCA approved flying school. You need to complete 200 hours of flying training pass theory exams and meet the eligibility criteria for commercial pilot licensing.
