In order to become a certified pilot, students have to meet certain academic, physical and regulatory standards or qualifications set by the aviation authorities (DGCA in India).
Once completed above mentioned requirements then aspiring pilots can enroll in a DGCA-approved flying school in India or abroad to gain practical flying experience. The training includes at least 200 hours of flying and passing theoretical DGCA modules like Air Navigation, Meteorology, Air Regulations & Aircraft Technical Knowledge etc. After fulfilling all these requirements the, DGCA issues Commercial Pilot Licence to candidate, allowing the holder to fly commercial aircraft professionally.
