A commerce student can become pilot after completing 12th provided they meet the eligibility requirements set by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The main subjects required are Physics and Mathematics but if a commerce student did not study them in school they can still qualify by passing these two subjects separately through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Steps for a commerce student to become a pilot

  1. Clear 12th class (any stream) - You just need to complete 12th from a recognized board.

  2. Study Physics and Mathematics separately - If not studied earlier you can appear for these subjects through NIOS.
