The main requirement is to complete 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. If you did not study these subjects in school, you can appear for these subjects separately through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or any recognized board.

What are the requirements to become a pilot

To apply for a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) you must be at least 17 years old and medically fit as per DGCA Class 1 standards. You need to join a DGCA approved flying school and complete around 200 hours of flying training. After your flying hours and exams you can apply for your CPL through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Do you need a college degree

A college degree is not mandatory to become a pilot in India. Airlines look for candidates with a valid CPL good communication skills and professional training. However having a degree can be useful if you plan to work internationally or pursue advanced aviation studies later.
