In India and in most of the countries female candidates have no special eligibility criteria to pursue professional courses government exams or even to become a female female engineer or doctors. The educational requirements medical standards and age are also exactly the same in case of both the aspirants male as well as female. In aviation male and female students must be able to pass Class 12th in Physics and Mathematics be medically fit and meet prescribed eyesight standards pass the licensing examinations. Likewise in defense services or civil services, the pattern of the examination and the syllabus is the same to all the candidates thus providing fairness and even ground.
Nevertheless in other disciplines female candidates can be offered some relaxations or marginal benefits so that they can participate in a larger number. An example can be seen in jobs in the state or central governments where the age may be relaxed or reserved seats applicable to women. Likewise women are usually given scholarships and concessions in institutions of higher learning and technical subjects. Such steps are not aimed at reducing standards but at providing equity through representation by eliminating social and financial access factors among women. Therefore the very main eligibility standards do not change but women could get benefits or incentives to encourage inclusivity.
