       What is the main eligibility for a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)

To apply for a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) in India, you must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. However if you didn't study these subjects you can still qualify! The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) allows you to appear for Physics and Math exams from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) or any recognized board as a private candidate. Once you pass these subjects you're eligible to start pilot training.

        Step by Step Guide for Non Science Students

  1. Pass 10+2 in any stream (Arts or Commerce).

  2. Enroll in NIOS or another board to clear Physics and Mathematics.

  3. Clear DGCA Class 2 and Class 1 medical tests.

  4. Join a DGCA-approved flying school.

  5. Complete 200 flying hours and ground classes.

  6. Obtain your CPL and start applying for airline jobs.
